With summer finally here, we’ll be spending a lot more time outdoors running around. While the beautiful weather is great for the family, it’s important that we stay hydrated. Rather than opt for the soda pop or other sugary drinks, we try to stick to delicious fruit and herb infused water.12 Delicious Infused Water Recipes

Why Drink Fruit Infused Water?

While the delicious taste of fruit infused water is the main reason I drink it, there are lots of other great reasons.

Less Sugar

Like I mentioned above, so many of the “thirst quenching” drinks that we see advertised are loaded with sugar. While these drinks may taste good, they’re really quite bad for you. While fruit does have sugar in it, when you infuse water with it, you really aren’t drinking much of it.

Fantastic Flavor

Fruit infused water just tastes so good. And for some of us, drinking regular water to stay hydrated isn’t always motivating. I like flavored drinks and I’m sure you do too. While infused water has a more subtle flavor then other drinks, it’s still flavored enough that I enjoy drinking it.

Kids Love it Too

Keeping your kids away from sugary drinks may be one of your priorities this summer. If so, infused water is an excellent replacement. While it may take some of them a little while to get over the idea of drinking water with fruit floating in it, they will like the flavor. And you can always mix it up with what fruit and herbs you put in their drink to find something they like.

Best Fruit Infuser Bottles

After testing a variety of infuser bottles I’ve finally found a few that I really like. These bottles are easy to clean but don’t have you fighting off slices of cucumber from slipping out the spout when your drinking it.

Live Infinitely 32 oz. Infuser Water Bottle

These large 32 oz. bottles are perfect when you’re on the go. The full-length infuser rod in the middle of the bottle provides maximum coverage. One nice feature with this infuser is you can remove the rod and cap and place it in a pitcher to turn it into a water infuser. The entire infuser can also be placed in the dishwasher for easy washing. The Live Infinitely bottle is my number one pick.

Infusion Pro 24 oz. Water Bottle

My second favorite water infuser bottle is the Infusion Pro. This smaller bottle has a removable bottom that holds the fruit down on the bottom of the bottle so your water always tastes good. And the removable bottle makes it easy to wash. Another plus is this bottle doesn’t sweat like some of the cheaper bottles I’ve tried. This bottle also comes with a lifetime guarantee which is nice. You can order one here.
